Hutchison Ajman International Terminals (HAJT) is a subsidiary of Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH).HPH is a subsidiary of the multinational conglomerate Hutchison Whampoa Limited (HWL). The HPH network of port operations comprises 320 berths in 52 ports, spanning 26 countries throughout Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the Americas and Australasia. Over the years, HPH has expanded internationally into other logistics, transportation-related and hotel businesses. These include cruise ship terminals, airport and hotel operations, distribution centres, rail services, and ship repair facilities.
Under the guidance and supervision of His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, and His Highness Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Crown Prince of Ajman, HAJT took over the management of Ajman Port and Customs on the 1 of January 2012.
It´s location in the Arabian Gulf places HAJT in a unique position to offer services to eastern and western markets and situates HAJT ideally to be one of the region´s preferred calling destinations.
With the transfer of industry best practices by HPH, HAJT will improve operational efficiency and achieve significant cost reduction through effective allocation of resources and introduction of new equipment. Ajman Port will become the preferred port-of-call in the region.
